Subject: Fraud Alert – Fake Rental Listing Involving Phone Number +1 (938) 267-9638 I would like to report a fraudulent rental listing posted on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, under the name Krish with the phone number +1 (938) 267-9638.(address given :1379 Washington Ave,Albany,NY 12206 & photo shared) The ad claimed to offer a well-furnished private room for rent at $850, with all utilities included, and invited contact via WhatsApp. However, this number redirects to a Google Voice number. After initial discussions, I was asked to make a $500 payment, which I did—but the individual has since become unreachable. This appears to be a clear case of cyber fraud, and I am in the process of filing a report with the police and requesting that this be flagged to the appropriate cybercrime and fraud prevention teams. Please take the necessary action to prevent others from falling victim to the same scam.
